Well, there was certainly some drama in the first half of last night’s game. Cunningham returns to the team he scored 90+ goals for during his career, and Alecko faces TFC for the first time since we traded him. Both ended up scoring in the first half, Cunningham with a great finish after a well placed header from Dichio put him one-on-one with Real Salt Lake’s keeper. Alecko, on the other hand, worked hard to get in the Toronto FC box, fighting off three defenders to win a penalty. Even as an FC fan, it’s hard to argue that call. I decided at that point that if Toronto would manage to win the game, I would be content to allow Alecko the goal - he tried hard in his brief tenure withthe club and he was a fan favourite, afterall. If Real had gone on to win, however, my sentiments towards Alecko would have been different.

I’m currently out of the country but lucky to have a great internet connection and access to the live video streaming through MLSnet.com. Not the best quality, but it’ll do for now. Just a tip, if you’re connecting using a Mac you can enable Flip4Mac to play the streams in a Quicktime window and then go full screen instead of the small window it would typically play in.
