4. Toronto soccer has a longer history than many are aware of. The Toronto Metros-Croatia in the NASL (think Pele and Beckenbauer) won the championship with the exact opposite of diversity. Not saying it’s the way I’d like things to go, but there’s an argument for putting a team together of players that play the same style (having learned their trade in the same school.) I honestly couldn’t care less if EVERY Nationality isn’t represented. I want a successful team, not a “Rainbows and Sprinkles, Everyone Loves Each Other and Cares about Feelings” team. The best players that play best together is the only way to build a successful team.
