Liam MIller played several season in the rotation for Manchester United. He failed to crack the first team on a regular basis never quite living up to the promise that Sir. Alex Ferguson expected of him. Continue down the career path a couple years, and his former captain, Roy Keane, who also happens to be his current manager at Sunderland appears to also have lost faith in him. Apparently, his “time-keeping” hasn’t been up to snuff of late and Roy has transfer listed Liam.

Enter the BBC to report this morning

Liam Miller’s poor timekeeping has not put off Major League Soccer’s Toronto, who want him and Sunderland team-mate Ross Wallace.

Now Wallace’s name has been tossed around of late on the message boards, but this is the first I’ve heard about Liam. Given my love for all things Manchester United and Toronto FC, I’d be happy to have Liam aboard. Call me crazy, but I think Liam’s shortcomings in “time-Keeping” will have much less of an impact on his performance over here. And to see him back in one of the two greatest Red kits out there, would be fantastic.

Needless to say, I’ll be digging this rumour for every bit of news I can get.

the fact that both are ex-Celtic [second tier mind you] excites me — recall that Miller was a star ascendent in UEFA CL with Celtic during their run in Europe before being lured by Alex to Old Trafford

I do recall - Fergy certainly expected more - I wonder what “time-keeping” issues have him fallen so far from grace in Roy’s books.
